GD-C1 Panasonic Double Sheet Detector Sensor

The Panasonic GD-C1 Double Sheet Detector is a precision metal-sheet double-feed detection controller designed to identify whether one or two sheets of metal are passing through a production process. It works with compatible Panasonic GD-series sensor heads, including the GD-10 high-precision and GD-20 long-range sensor heads, providing reliable detection for materials such as iron, aluminum, copper, brass, and stainless steel. The GD-C1 operates on a 12–24 V DC supply and provides NPN open-collector outputs for one-sheet detection, two-sheet detection, alarm, and answer-back functions. It also features teaching and set-level storage functions, short-circuit protection, self-diagnosis, and fast response of up to 5 ms depending on the application. The GD-C1 is well suited for sheet-metal handling, stamping, feeding, and automated manufacturing processes where preventing double-sheet feeding is important. Panasonic lists the GD-C1 as a discontinued product.
